Before You Write

The publication accepts approaches from writers whose work is grounded in observation-led practice rather than secondary commentary. An initial message with a brief description of your area of observation and a short writing sample is the recommended approach. The editorial team reviews all approaches and responds within five working days during active publication periods.

Sornal Quarterly does not carry advertising from supplement companies, nutrition product brands, or commercial wellness interests. This is a standing editorial position and is not subject to individual negotiation. The publication is funded editorially and maintains independence from commercial relationships as a matter of principle.

The publication notes corrections publicly. If you have identified an error in a published piece, please write to the editorial office with the article title, the passage in question, and your proposed correction. All credible corrections are reviewed and, where substantiated, noted at the foot of the relevant article with a dated correction notice.

Short quotations with attribution are generally acceptable. Extended reproduction — more than two consecutive paragraphs — requires editorial permission. Please write to the office with details of the intended use, the passage you wish to reproduce, and where it will appear. The editorial team typically responds to reproduction requests within three working days.
